Here, we foster creativity and exploration while nurturing the childrens’ built-in sense of wonder for the world around them and cultivate a love of learning.
We provide the basic building blocks for reading, writing and mathematics in a bilingual (English-Spanish) environment while using engaging hands-on activities and play.
The Early Childhood Division has a half-day Preschool and PreK program that run from 8:00 – 12:50 PM and full-day Kindergarten and Grade 1 that run from 8:00-2:20 PM. To provide a solid English foundation for all students, Inter provides an English immersion program for the first two years, in Preschool and Prekindergarten. Beginning in Kindergarten, students are instructed in a bilingual environment, providing direct instruction in both English and Spanish. This attention to the students along with our specials classes including art, PE, musics, and technology creates a wholistic well rounded education.
In the Early Childhood Education Division we believe that at this early stage in life the social, emotional and physical development of a child is just as important at their academic development. This means that we spend time nurturing healthy relationships between students, parents and teachers. We also believe that learning begins at home and is continued at school through the collaborative effort of both the parents and teachers. We strive to meet each child’s individual needs through the use of differentiated instruction and support those who require academic assistance through specialists.
Among the sport and recreation areas, the school has a gymnasium, a soccer field, basketball and volleyball courts, and several common areas for other disciplines to be practiced.
We offer a wide variety of co-curricular activities including sports, community service, student government and different clubs for extra- curricular activities.
